PANERAI BRINGS ITS VINTAGE YACHT, EILEAN, TO LONDON FOR THE SUMMER SEASON
Panerai’s classic sailing ambassador, Eilean, has arrived in London for two weeks of events on the legendary vessel.
The world of sea and Panerai has long been connected, and the brand is pleased to present Eilean to London where guests will have the opportunity to shop and sail along the River Thames.
Eilean is a two-masted ketch designed and built in 1936 by the legendary Fife Shipard of Scotland, which is still renowned today for the astonishing quality and beauty of its artisan-built boats. After being found in a state of profound disarray in Antigua in 2007, she was transported to Italy where master shipwrights and artisans of Francesco Del Carlo expertly brought the seafaring gem a new lease of life after over 40,000 hours of work.
Now docked in the UK for two weeks, Eilean will be moored in St Katharine’s Docks by Tower Bridge, welcoming clients and visitors to purchase their new Panerai watches on board. Among the pieces will be the Panerai Luminor Yacht Challenge watch, a chronograph designed to face the most demanding challenges of the sea with style, strength and fortitude. This model is guaranteed to be water-resistant up to a depth of 100 metres, and features a sporty yet sophisticated design with a black ceramic base and blue touches as an ode to the colour of the sea.
The participants of the Panerai Challenger Trophy, the initiative set up by Panerai and the Royal Yachting Association in 2018 to celebrate children whose lives have been positively transformed by sailing and water sports, will also have the opportunity to sail on this special yacht on 22nd June 2019.
