The Rolex Cellini Collection
A collection of speciality watches bearing the name of master sculptor, goldsmith and musician Benvenuto Cellini. An artist to popes and kings in the Renaissance Italy, Cellini was at the forefront of the Mannerism movement in the 16th Century. Mannerism is notable for its intellectual sophistication and creative beauty – the same principles that Rolex apply to each piece in the Cellini collection.
Rolex’s commitment to excellence begins at source; by operating their own exclusive foundry, Rolex has the ability to create innovative and unique alloys. Rolex cases and bracelets are therefore purer and more durable than any other ensuring your watch remains as beautiful as the day you first saw it.
Pure design and exceptional beauty are symbolised in the Cellini collections by the Prince. With its avant-garde rectangular shaped case and sophisticated, elegant dials, the Prince is still a watch of great distinction.
The hand-wound Rolex 7040 calibre is renowned for precision. The calibre uses all of the space in the rectangular case to give free reign to the decorations of the bridges. The movement is designed to be in concert with the dial and is visible through the transparent caseback.
The Cellini collection features watches made using only the most precious metals with a mixture of mechanical and quartz movements. Cellini models are crafted using Yellow, White or Everose Gold, Platinum and diamonds. Sapphires and Rubies also adorn some of these models.
Cellini watches are exceptional pieces; the platinum Cellinium with its black dial and leather strap would be the ideal complement to a finely tailored suit. For Ladies, the diamond encrusted white gold Cellissima with its immaculate white dial adds a touch of vibrancy to your favourite evening dress.
In creating the Cellini collection Rolex have maintained a respect of traditional Swiss watchmaking values. The Prince, Cestello, Cellinium, Danaos, Cellissima and Orchid models have become highly sought after by those seeking high end luxury materials coupled with Rolex’s technical expertise.
