The Watch Gallery and Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Day & Night
Time is the essence when it comes to traveling. Scheduling your itinerary to suit your bucket list, making sure the iconic landmarks are captured in your memory roll. The pressure is on to make the most of your experiences in a 24 hour time frame. The key essential to the gentleman’s busy routine, starts with the Jaeger Le-Coultre & The Watch Gallery Grande Reverso Night & Day Automatic limited to only 30 in the world, I took the moment to value the luxurious lifestyle, whilst traveling in Bangkok, Thailand. The city of lights, showcasing the high life from the 30th floor, overlooking the atmospheric streets at day time and bursting intense colours during night time. To every opening, is a hidden treasure behind closed
doors, just like the two sides to the Jaeger-Le Coultre Reverso Collection.
To mark the 85th Anniversary of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Collection. The Watch Gallery and Jaeger-LeCoultre have collaborated to create an exclusive Reverso watch. The elegant Jaeger Le-Coultre timepiece has the stainless steel shine and sapphire crystal Glass just like the Architecture. The Bangkok skyline resembles the cities landscape with the progression of day to night. The pattern of the buildings showcases the design aspects, which is very abstract from different perspectives. Seen from a distance or up close, the graphics in the design has clear lines and textured tones that changes depending on the light. Similarly to the glass building reflections and kinetic energy powered by an Automatic Calibre 967B movement.
The Reverso is much more than a watch. It measures time, and it preserves its history. The Reverso is unique in the world: in one watch, there are two faces through a patented swivelling case. Thus, in a single gesture, the watch reveals another face.
Stéphane Belmont, Creation & Marketing Executive Director of Jaeger-LeCoultre comments:
“The Reverso is a pure Art Deco watch, not just in terms of design, but also in terms of philosophy. Art Deco goes far above just ‘design’; it’s a way to combine functionality with design. It was born at the period when all artists were calling into question the classic codes of the 19th century, and rejecting one-dimensional painting or photography. It was a time when artists were trying to inject three-dimensionality into their painting and photography, to add movement and life. And the Reverso is very much of that period, unlike all other watches, flat watches, it’s a three-dimensional watch: you can turn it.”
