The World’s Fastest Chronograph: Zenith Defy El Primero 21 Blue
The original Zenith El Primero was released back in 1969, a design that featured, for the first time, an automatic chronograph movement precise to 1/10 of a second. This technology has been taken to the next level, the brand has just released the Defy El Primero 21 Blue, that multiplies this accuracy by ten, to 1/100 of a second, making it the world’s fastest chronograph.
The face and body take inspiration from its 1969 predecessor, with a titanium case and matching rhodium-plated hour markers and hands. Other features include two balance wheels, and a mainplate in the brand’s signature blue. The intricate inner workings are visible through the skeleton dial, and it comes with three options of strap, including a hardy, blue alligator leather coated design as well as simple, blue rubber model.
